Diet Inclusivity Project
I have many subscribers who watch and support me, but just aren’t interested in a hybrid liquid diet for themselves. In this series, I chronicled my experience on Top Doctor-Recommended Alternative Diets. I did not do anything crazy diets; these are the diets your doctor would recommend for you to try. They include the Mediterranean, TLC, DASH, Mayo Clinic, and Flexitarian Diets. In a later video, I share my thoughts on the fact that fast-weight-loss vilifier and obvious cash-grabber, Mayo Clinic, now has an Ozempic program . Who told y’all the INSTANT these slow weight loss programs could make money from fast weight loss, they would change their tune and stop demonizing it? Who said that? Must have been someone wise… Oh, that’s right… ME!
In the introductory video of each diet, I explain what the diet is, how it works, and show my daily menu. In the results videos, I share my experience on each diet, as well as before and after pictures, videos, and weigh-ins. You can watch the individual videos below or you can watch the entire playlist on my channel: youtube.com/impatientdieter
Mediterranean Diet
Day 33: Mediterranean Diet Day 1
It’s a diet that’s inspired by the traditional foods of countries that border the Mediterranean Sea. For over 50 years scientists have been conducting studies which found that people who follow a Mediterranean Diet have a lower risk of heart disease, cancer, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. It is marketed as a lifestyle change.
TLC Diet
Day 43: TLC Diet Weight Loss Journey
TLC stands for Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes. It was created by the Cholesterol Education Program of the National Institutes of Health. It has been championed by experts as one of the healthiest methods to reduce cholesterol levels and improve heart health. It can lower cholesterol levels by 25% to 30% when combined with exercise and weight loss--literally the results you see with medication. It also lowers triglycerides and blood pressure.
DASH Diet
Day 49: DASH Diet Weight Loss Journey
The DASH stands for Dietary Approaches To Stop Hypertension. It is a well-established diet that has been around for 27 years. It was developed by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute which is part of the National Institutes of Health. It helps prevent and treat high blood pressure and helps lower LDL cholesterol; important because they are major risk factors for heart disease and stroke.
Mayo Clinic Diet
Day 56: Mayo Clinic Weight Loss Journey
The Mayo Clinic Diet is a healthy way of eating that is all about transforming lifestyle habits associated with your weight. You break old habits and form new ones. Without calorie counting, you are supposed to lose between 1-2 lbs per week (more than that now that they have their patients injecting themselves with Ozempic. Who can inject themselves with a needle?! Yuck!)
Flexitarian Diet
Day 67: Flexitarian Diet Weight Loss Journey
Flexitarian, is a portmaneau of flexible and vegetarian. It's a vegetarian diet that allows you to eat meat on occasion. It emphasizes plant protein over animal protein and states that you can get the benefit of protein without saturated fat. Researchers found that people who follow plant-based diets have a lower risk of heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. It’s a no calorie-counting, semi-vegetarian diet (though, I did count calories and I ate meat every day 😂).
Day 76: Flexitarian Diet Before and After Pictures Weight Loss Journey
Diet Weight Loss Before and After Pictures, Videos, and Weigh-in. Result on The Flexitarian Diet was 2 lb lost. If you do lean toward the vegetarian or vegan side of dieting, the company I get my shakes from does offer a vegan shake in chocolate and vanilla flavors. See my Diet Page.
